La sorpresa acuática de Villafáfila / Aquatics Surprise in Villafáfila

Va en nuestro carácter no dar importancia a lo que tenemos. En nuestro entorno cercano tenemos las Lagunas de Villafáfila, que acoge el 50% de las aves acuáticas de invernada de Castilla y León.

Es decir, que es el mejor lugar de observación de aves acuáticas de Castilla-León sin duda. Por seguir resaltando su importancia, decir que las cerca de 2000 avutardas que se estiman, constituyen la mayor población del mundo de estas aves.

Aunque el nombre común de las lagunas es Villafáfila acoge terrenos de diversos ayuntamientos (11 en total). Está enclavado en una zona cerealística amplísima. Tres lagunas principales (Salina Grande, Barrillos y Salinas) y varias lagunas pequeñas forman el conjunto de las lagunas. Los suelos arcillosos de la cuenca semiendorreica del río Salado definen este complejo. Esta es la parte acuática.

Dispone de un Centro de Visitantes, Casa del Parque, donde nos aproximamos a la importancia de las Lagunas. Es tan interesante y fácil de acceder que es una buena forma de iniciar a los niños o acceder a personas con limitaciones. La cercanía, lo fácil que es avistar diversas especies forman la parte de sorpresa.

Pero la gran riqueza, el tesoro de este complejo de lagunas es su hábitat de aves. Como dijimos en la Casa del Parque tenemos una introducción a las posibilidades de avistamiento en varias lagunas pequeñas. El gran descubrimiento es lo que con poco esfuerzo se puede ver en las otras muchas lagunas y en las grandes extensiones lagunares.

Otra evidencia de interés es el resto de puntos turísticos de los alrededores. A poca distancia vamos a tener un centro astronómico o un centro de interpretación del lobo. Nos vamos a poder acercar a centros de recuperación de especies como el burro zamorano-leones o aves rapaces. Si nos interesa la historia tenemos a poca distancia importantes ejemplos de la historia del hombre (restos arqueológicos, romanos, alta y baja edad media, gótico, …). En un entorno de 150 km, tenemos 7 catedrales. Zamora, capital de la provincia, es considerado el lugar con más restos del románico en el mundo.

Además de las Lagunas de Villafáfila a escasos kilómetros, hay otras rutas de ornitología. Por ejemplo, podemos hablar de Milles de la Polvorosa y Ayoo de Vidriales-Congosta.

Another evidence of interest are several turistics elements in the surrounding. We can find, whitin a short distance, the astronomical center of Tiedra or the Iberican Wolf Center in Sanabria. We can approach the Zamorano Donkey Center on fifty km. If our interest are the history, we have on a little distance a great footprints in the history of the humanity (arqueological, roman, high and low Middle Ages,…). Less tan 150 km, we have 7 cathedrals. Zamora, the capital of the province, are known by its romanesque, perhaps the best on the world.

In addiction of the Villafafila Lagoons, at a few kilometers, we have another routes of birdwatching. For example, we can talk about of Milles de la Polvorosa and Ayoo de Vidriales-Congosta.
